Channel Economics calculation method

Definitions for marketplace, owned-store, and hybrid estimates, with explicit boundaries between manual inputs and imported observations.

Formula and units

For each channel, variable costs are the sum of entered commission, logistics, storage, advertising, returns, penalties, COGS, tax, payment, discounts, support, and other variable costs. Contribution is revenue minus variable costs. Fully loaded profit is contribution minus allocated fixed costs. Hybrid totals add the two channel results; they do not model cannibalization.

All stored money values are integer RUB kopeks. A manual scenario is a versioned estimate, not a reconciled accounting statement.

Worked example

If one channel has revenue of 100,000 RUB, variable costs of 65,000 RUB, and allocated fixed costs of 10,000 RUB, contribution is 35,000 RUB and fully loaded profit is 25,000 RUB. These figures are illustrative manual inputs, not a customer result.

Acquisition payback and fair comparison

For an owned-store cohort, acquisition payback is the first order number n for which first-order contribution plus (n - 1) times assumed repeat-order contribution is at least acquisition spend. This is a modeled threshold, not an observed purchase forecast. Acquisition spend already included in channel advertising must not be subtracted twice.

Compare marketplace and owned-store contribution over the same period and customer/order scope. A commission is not the whole cost of marketplace demand; paid direct traffic is not free. Keep payment, fulfillment, returns, support, tax, software, and allocated fixed costs explicit. Do not add the same migrated order to both channel totals.

A claim that an owned channel is more profitable requires evidence for incremental versus displaced orders, repeat purchases, and independent cost coverage. The manual hybrid total assumes distinct sales and does not establish causality or customer migration.

Unavailable and imported data

A modeled acquisition result needs a nonzero new-customer denominator; otherwise CAC and dependent values are unavailable, not zero. Modeled repeat orders and LTV are assumptions rather than observed cohorts.

Committed owned-store order files can supply observed revenue and order counts for a selected period. The source-statement comparison groups committed lines by selected day, order or SKU and treats every missing or unreported group as a mismatch. Gross, quantity and line counts include all imported statuses; recognized revenue includes only paid, fulfilled and refunded lines. The result is a point-in-time comparison of selected measures, not independent accounting certification. Missing advertising or fixed-cost files, incomplete source coverage, and unverified returns prevent a fully reconciled profit claim. A cart observation is never revenue.

Marketplace evidence qualification

Marketplace Source Health is scoped to one account and period. It counts mart rows, provider-finance rows, finance rows linked to archived successful provider responses, and period-mapped bank receipts. These are coverage and provenance indicators; they are not a settlement-level comparison of provider payouts with an independently obtained bank statement.

The marketplace mart's bank-receipt value comes from the same configured receipt records displayed by Source Health. Agreement between those two views is circular. An authorized platform finance reviewer must reconcile an independently obtained statement and accept the exact account, period, evidence fingerprint, statement checksum, internal reconciliation reference, difference, tolerance, and expiry. A customer cannot self-certify the evidence.

Only a current accepted qualification permits the exact marketplace revenue, net profit, and bank-receipt snapshot to enter the grounded AI brief. Evidence changes, expiry, revocation, replacement, stale data, quality warnings, incomplete lineage, currency mismatch, or reconciliation gaps invalidate the qualification automatically. The customer view shows status and review dates but does not expose the statement checksum or internal reconciliation reference.

This controlled path can remain unavailable until the workspace capability and reviewer process are enabled. Qualification records evidence acceptance for a bounded snapshot; it does not replace an audit, tax advice, or the organization's accounting controls.

First-party identity boundary

Customer cohorts use seller-supplied opaque first-party references within a workspace identity domain. The link export returns only retained cohort identity links, while erasure removes those links and preserves financial order records. Neither operation resolves marketplace buyer identity or replaces a complete customer-data request process.
